Module 2 · The Jev API · Lesson 3
Your first Jev request
The shape of a System One request and response, the same call over raw HTTP and both SDKs, and the operational details that matter in production, from version pinning and context limits to cost and retries.
By the end of this lesson you can
- Write a System One request by hand, with state and questions keyed by your own ids, and explain why each question is evaluated in isolation
- Read every field of a Choice, Score and Noul answer and recompute the confidence values from the probabilities
- Choose between a pinned model version and an alias, and log the model that actually answered
- Check a request against Jev's per-request and per-question context limits and estimate its cost
- Handle 429, 529 and 422 responses correctly, and move code from the jevlocal stand-in to the real SDK
